Green light for MotoE™ 2024: ready to accelerate with Enel X?

Also in 2024, for the sixth consecutive season, Enel X will be Official Smart Charging of the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Championship. The rainbow competition, of which Enel is title sponsor, kicks off on March 23 at the famous Algarve circuit in Portimao, Portugal, inaugurating a series of races marked by speed, of course, but also by environmental sustainability and electrification.

 

In 2024, 18 riders from nine different teams will compete aboard Ducati V21Ls, exemplars of excellence in the electric motorcycle category. Designed to combine high-level performance and environmental friendliness, this bike achieves a power output of 110 kW (150 hp) and torque of 140 Nm, with a top speed of 275 km/h (171 mph).

Enel X takes to the track alongside key players to accelerate the development of new technologies that can offer people formidable services and make them protagonists of the electrification of consumption. How? Through the provision of innovative solutions capable of ensuring efficiency and fast charging. The Wayroll EVO Race Edition system, in particular, is designed to meet the needs of competitionsConsisting of two interconnected chargers - made up of a semi-mobile unit (SMU) and a mobile unit (MU) - both with integrated storage, Wayroll EVO Race Edition is capable of recharging an electric motorcycle in about 40 minutes. A solution that offers up to 1 MW of power distributed across 20 chargers, with an approach that integrates energy from renewable sources to maximize efficiency and sustainability.

The race to the title

The championship calendar includes nine exciting stages that will run concurrently with the World Motorcycle Championship races, celebrating this year's 75th anniversary. Each circuit will feature two free practice sessions, qualifying on Friday and two races on Saturday. All stages of the championship will be held in Europe. The opener in Portugal on March 23-24 will be followed by:

  • May 25-26 Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain)
  • May 11-12 Le Mans (France)
  • June 1-2 Mugello (Italy)
  • June 29-30 Assen (Netherlands)
  • July 6-7 Sachsenring (Germany)
  • August 17-18 Spielberg (Austria)
  • September 7-8 Misano Adriatico (Italy).
